Demand by Design was founded by two industry veterans that wanted to take their success and experience in sales and marketing and help companies become more effective at meeting their revenue goals.
Consultants & Advice
We have all worked with consultants in the past, and for the most part they came in, made some astute observations, gave us some good recommendations and moved on to their next engagement. We were then left to our own devices to actually implement their recommendations and derive any real value from the engagement. While we can see some value in this type of relationship, we also see big disadvantages.
Our clients need more than advice. There are a number of reasons this is true, but more than anything else, they are generally busy with their job and do not have additional time to focus on marketing in order to get the results they expect. When they do have time, they often lack the experience to maximize the benefits from the recommendations.
Beyond Advice
We saw a need for a different philosophy, one focused on actually producing results for our clients and not just giving advice. Instead of offering our clients recommendations we help them find their direction. Based on this philosophy, we actually work with our clients to implement recommendations and produce the results they want to achieve. In this process we work closely with the team to optimize the process and maximize the results. Our engagements cover a spectrum of areas ranging from strategic planning and product conceptualization to lead generation and social media programs to website design and content creation. In the end, our clients receive advice, results and most importantly, a process and team that can continue to drive results in the future.
Nick Blozan, Principal & Founder

Nick has over 25 years of experience in high tech including executive positions in sales, marketing, product management and engineering. His sales experience includes both direct and channel sales in cloud, software and services companies. His most recent company experience was as VP Worldwide Sales at NetEnrich where he drove the acquisition of hundreds of VARs/MSPs and thousands of customers in the managed services space. Prior to NetEnrich, Nick was VP Sales of 3Tera where he was responsible for driving revenue for their cloud platform which ultimately led to 3Tera’s acquisition by Computer Associates in 2010. Before that, Nick was Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing for OpSource where he was responsible for defining, building and growing a SaaS enablement business for the company. In just under two years, he established OpSource as the leader in SaaS enablement and, drove their revenue in the SaaS space from under $1M to over $25M annualized.Nick has also held positions at executive positions at Allocity (acquired by EMC in 2004) and VERITAS where he worked for over eight years in several capacities and was most recently responsible for developing and driving the Windows strategy for the company. |

Mitch brings deep executive level experience with various industry leading companies, with particular success in developing emerging technologies into mature products and services to his current role at Demand by Design.Prior to Demand by Design, Mitch was the vice president of worldwide marketing for NetEnrich. While at NetEnrich, Mitch led the launch of packaged cloud-based managed services through the channel. The program lead to relationships with major distribution partners like Ingram Micro and Arrow in addition to hundreds of VAR partners serving literally thousands of businesses.Before NetEnrich, Mitch served as vice president of marketing at OpSource, where he successfully launched Optimal OnDemand, the industry’s first Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery platform, and SaaSTrak, which became the OpSource Cloud. In prior positions at Connectix, Maxoptix, Novell and Acer, Mitch was responsible for significantly increasing sales by developing strategies for new product lines and opening new market segments by leveraging innovative promotions, reseller and channel programs. |

Jessica Chan is a graphic designer and the Creative Director at Demand by Design. She brings her deep experience in both graphic design and website development to deliver cutting edge design and functionality to our clients. Prior to Demand by Design, Jessica worked in the marketing departments at Brocade, dailystrength.org, as well many clients. Outside of work, she enjoys running, dining at new places, traveling for fun, reading books on her iPhone, and staying fashionable. A devourer of fashion sites and beauty blogs on the one hand, and an avid listener of public radio and NPR on the other, Jessica is constantly filling her short-term knowledge to capacity with both the latest trends and the latest public issues. She was born in Canada, raised in LA, went to school at UC Berkeley, and has been living in the Bay Area for 8 years. |
